Kiteboarding Lessons
From beginner through advanced we have many different options for lessons at Gorge Kite: Top of line safety gear, jetski assist & radio helmet lessons available.
Beginner Series
This series is designed to get kiteboarders up and riding safely & quickly. Each lesson is focused on that student and we will work on the combination of skill that you will need to reach your goals. An example of skills we will work on:
- Kite Theory / Safety
- Picking a Proper Kite Size & Rigging
- Kite Control
- Water Relaunch
- Board Dragging & Board Recovery
- Self Rescue
Intermediate Series
Designed to build the skills necessary to go upwind and kiteboard in more demanding wind conditions. These lessons can be combined and are often used as the basis of a 5 to 7 day program. An example of skills we will work on:
- Kite Theory / Safety
- Stance
- Turns
- Upwind Ability
- Introduction to The Gorge
- Personal Coaching
Advanced Series
Advanced lessons can focus on anything the rider needs helps with. This could be simply a ride along lesson to get acquainted with the Gorge or any type of support that is needed. An example of skills we will work on:
- Learn a new trick
- Directional/Kite Surfing Skills
- High Wind Management
- Big Swell Skills
- Personal Coaching or a Supervised Downwinder
- Snow Kiting in Winter Months (Call prior to booking)
Lesson Pricing
All lesson pricing includes all equipment needed to hit the water, from kite to safety gear to wetsuit/booties. Jetskis & helmet radios also available upon request.
Private Kiteboard Lesson - $350
45 minutes of classroom + two hours of private lesson on the water
Buddy Kiteboard Lesson - $295 per student
45 minutes of shared classroom + two hours of shared lesson on the water (must be at the same level)
